Sarah and I headed down to northern california for a few days, we had a four day weekend and wanted to make the most of it. We left right after work and go to Grants Pass Oregon around 10. We were on the road the next morning by 7 and got a Dutch Brothers coffee before we left town.

To MN and Back
I headed back to Minnesota for Christmas. Got to do some ice fishing on Lake Washington with John Kennedy, hung out down town with some high school friends, and tried to go to Iowa but got snowed out on our way down and ended up turning around. Spent the next few days cleaning out my room, going through old baseball cards, bringing a bunch of stuff to goodwill. That's about it!

Mt. Hood Meadows Trip II
Went to Mt. Hood for my second time last weekend (8th of Decemeber) with Pete and his girlfriend Michelle. We left Portland pretty early about 7 and made it out in one piece. I went on some runs I had not explored the first time and found my self of trail and down some black diamond stuff at one point, it was pretty scary there for a little bit but I made it down. It wasn't as busy this time as the first weekend. The back side was very slow and I found my self on the lift as soon as I got down there. There was a beer festival going on too! Out of all the beer tasting events I have been to out here, probably 4-5 so far, this was by far the best deal. The cup was 2 bucks and tastes were a dollar. The cup wasn't your typical kiddy cup it was actually a mug and the tastes were quite big. Widmer, Kona, Walking Man, Full Sail and a few other brewery's were representing. The Kona pipeline porter was very good (it had kona coffee in it), another really good one was Full Sail's Wassail winter ale, probably one of my favorite winter ales so far and the Walking Man knuckle dragger is a tasty one too. So it was a super fun day, great weather, I pushed my self down some tougher stuff and got to drink some good beers for cheap, not too bad.
